I really should make a crafting list!

Sometimes I think my eyes swallow more than I can take on but I go for it anyway. Usually I am waist deep into a project at 1 am. LOL. Will I ever learn....I doubt it. So after seeing all my crafty friends work on my sewing group I have now caught the urge to quilt and crochet. I did buy a few crochet needles and some batting for quilts. I am a little familiar with the quilts having made a few but have no clue when it comes to the crochet. I may have made a few chain stitches as a girl with my grandmother but that is the exent of my crocheting. The project I really want to do is a large crochet rug for my boys bathroom. I have some old stained white tees I plain on dying and making into a rug. You know.... reduce, reuse, recycle. I also need to finish my mothers birthday gift before they get here next week. Not to mention I have a list a mile long of sewing and crafting projects I have bookmarked. Well I guess I should get to it. No time like the present! Quote of the day....

I have followers!!!!

I can't believe I have followers. There isn't much to my blog and I am so flattered that anyone would want to follow it. I am very honored ;-). I did notice a good majority of you from my sewing group...ThankYou!!! That is exactly why I love you ladies!!!

I do actually craft....

.....Just not lately. So my blog is looking kinda bare. With both boys consuming most of my time with potty training and teething I am not getting alot of crafts done. I figured I would share the last things I made to show I can actually sew a little. LOL!  So here goes....We will start with the Jack Rabbit softies I made the boys for Easter.  I most certainly want to give credit where credit is due. I got this idea from the polka dot umbrella blog. You can find her link in my blogs list. She and her hubby did a great job designing the Softie. My boys love them!!!

Teething!!!

So my little one is having a horrible time teething right now. I should be sleeping right now but I am up tending a cranky baby. He just got settled back in his crib so I took some time to do a little tinkering with my blog. My sister set this up so I am completely clueless how this thing even works. I did find some really cute templates and changed things around a bit so I feel a little more at ease with it. I should have gotten all my house work done this evening and gotten started on a few sewing projects that are mounting up on my desk. I have two little boys who get first dibs on mommies time so I will be cleaning my kitchen and hitting the hay. Sorry craft room you will go untouched yet again.

Baby Paper!!!

So my youngest son just got his first tooth. He is trying to chew on anything that will hold still long enough. Last night while the hubs and I were watching a movie I whipped up a little baby paper with some ribbon chewers for him. Baby paper is just 2 pieces of fabric sewn together with a crinkle type of material in between the layers. I finished off a bag of sun chips and used that. I washed it of course and then cut it about a 1/2 inch smaller than my fabric to allow for seam allowance. I also added some loops of ribbon to the sides with a really secure stitch. He loves it!!! It was such a hit and it is very easy for him to handle. If anyone is interested I can give further detail. I will try to get some action shots of him playing with it later. Right now it is nap time.
